Gelu was an excellent tour guide and this is a great travel company! The experience was personalized, with plenty of opportunities to take gorgeous pictures and learn in-depth history of the region. This is one of the best tours I’ve ever taken and I can’t recommend it enough!

My tour guide Alex was the best guide I've ever had. There were some unfortunate cancellations on our trip as we were unable to go to Balea Lake due to the snow (which usually should have melted at the time) and Poenari Castle due to many wild bears. Unfortunately this is out of the company's control. Initially I wasn't too happy because I am missing out on a lot but Alex really did everything to make sure I had a great experience. I really wanted to see the Transfagarasan Road and because I was missing out on so much already he offered to take more out of his time to drive all around the mountains so I can get a worthwhile experience of the Transfagarasan Road. I had even more bad luck as there was fog blocking an amazing view, but Alex was happy to wait patiently for the fog to pass. The view was spectacular! Alex was very knowledgeable and gave me a great insight to the Romanian history and culture. Alex went well above and beyond to ensure I had a pleasant experience. Thank you :)

First of all, the Monastry of Curtea de Arges impressive. Although we could not visit Poienari fortress as there were bears arround, Balea Lake was amazing. It's better not to go there on weekends as it is crowded. The guide knew everything perfectly and it was amazing when we put a classical music cd on the route throughout Transfagarasan roads. Impressive. If you want the tour in Spanish, ask for Cristie :)
