The first stop on your tour invites you to step into the shoes of kings and queens at Peles Palace – the private retreat of Romania’s royal family. The beautiful mountain scenery and elegant gardens built on terraces add even more charm to this majestic 19th-century palace. Inside, everything spells luxury: golden chandeliers, walnut tree carvings, marble fountains, secret chambers and a royal armory. Next, you’ll go even further back in time, to the late Middle Ages. Myths and legends swirl around the massive Bran Castle, a stone giant guarding the passage to Transylvania since the 14th century. Count Dracula and Vlad the Impaler are both associated with the castle. Explore the castle, its outdoor village museum or the House of Horrors. The tour’s grand finale? An epic medieval fantasy, established by the Teutonic Knights during their first decades of existence. We’ll visit the city of Brasov, founded by the knights in 1211 on top of an old Dacian site. Dramatically overlooked by Mount Tampa, the city’s medieval core is a maze of narrow cobblestone streets, craft guilds, fortified towers, gatehouses and medieval decorated inns.

For larger groups, one person can purchase access for the entire group by selecting the number of people in the group. All group members will be able to play the city game on their smartphone. Alternatively, each person can purchase their own ticket. You can play as a group and solve the clues together as you walk, or you can split into smaller groups/teams and compete against the others. Bucharest Sightseeing Tour

9. Bucharest Sightseeing Tour

Bucharest is a city that wears its history proudly, if not painfully, on its sleeve. The city is a vibrant and noisy place, filled with stunning architecture, plenty of smiles, and someone at a cafe always happy to tell you their story of where they were in 1989. Today, we will experience the best Bucharest has to offer, and learn a bit of its history, while enjoying marvelous architecture and grand boulevards. We begin at Revolution Square, home to the 1989 revolution that brought Ceausescu's regime to a close. Here we can see the Royal buildings, Libraries and Statues that make up this grand and central area of Bucharest. From here we walk down Victoriei Avenue towards the heart of Bucharest's bustling commercial quarters. We will pass the Princely Court and Church in the old quarters, as well as the Palace of Justice, with its imposing columns reminding us that the state was once all powerful. Eventually after a nice stroll, we arrive at Unirii Square, the gigantic transportation hub of Bucharest. Here we can see the Palace of Parliament, which we can stop and visit, should you choose. If there it’s not possible to visit the palace, we can instead visit the Spring Palace/Ceausescu's residence. We move on to the Metropolitan Church, where we can again look at the lovely iconography of these Orthodox churches. Walking back towards the University, we will pass Bucharest's own Arch de Triumph, and have the option to stop at the Village Museum. All together, our walk will introduce you to the highlights of this city, while explaining to you their importance in history. Romanians proudly walk these streets along side you, and by the end of our day together, hopefully you will feel a bit closer to their incredible story.

The tour insides you at Bucharest most important sightseeings. However, nothing would matter if it wasn't Kyprianos there, our guide. There aren't words to describe this man. Early in the morning he made the whole group laugh and keep this spirit through the end. He knows, maybe, everything, but for sure any question, relative or not, we made. It seems that he loves what he chose to do and we are really, really lucky for meeting him. No words are enough to describe him. Thank you for everything ❤️
