Full description
Where did the Communist industry of Bucharest disappear? How are the city and its people changing with the times? Find out all this and more on a tour of the Pantelimon District. Find the beauty in the otherwise busy capital city of Bucharest with the trained eye of a local guide. Explore Pantelimon, one of the dormitory neighborhoods of Bucharest, designed by the communists as a place for sleeping when you’re not working. See the huge apartment blocks and understand how the entire place was connected to one of the city's largest industrial areas. Uncover plenty of surprises waiting for you, such as the parks dotted with communist symbols, a Medieval Monastery, and a wild natural wetland. After grabbing a local snack, see how the old industrial area is reinventing. From the height of a former water tower, admire some great pieces of street art, completely made on roofs and visible just from bird's-eye level. Go through the industrial history of the area. On the way, discuss more of communism, the famous Nicolae Ceausescu and his big plans and ideas. Get the best ideas to enjoy Bucharest your own way before concluding the activity.

Thank you very much for my great hostess! She was very nice and told me a lot about the area as well as about the Ceausescu period and also about Romania & Bukarest today. Really informative tour and it was great to see other places than the city centre. Even the didn’t matter
