I can tell you that this was an amazing way to experience Belgian Trappist beer! James was an informative, animated and knowledgeable guide/host. He had the history of beer, the Trappist timeline and the flavour profile down to a Tee. I recommend this tour, and had a blast myself. (James also has a number of great pub/bar/restaurant suggestions as well!)

It was a beer tour that was all about the beer and beer history. I was in town for a conference so the timing was great. I ate a late lunch and then joined the beer group with Tom. He enjoyed what he does for a job and the fact that we were done before 9 was nice so i could still get a good night sleep. I would recommend this tour to other beer lovers, the history was wonderful.

Passionate Beer Guide

This was a lot of fun. Tom (not Tim), was a great guide. He was extremely passionate about sharing knowledge/history of the local beers. We started at the first pub with 2 beers, very different in style and flavours. These were strong beers, and we were encouraged to take our time and savour them. We then did a short walk to the next stop with Tom pointing out local beer hotspots along the way. Reaching our second stop, we climbed up a cool set of curving narrow steps. This was an interesting beer store with the tasting room upstairs overlooking the street. We had 3 different beers, with a story about each. Tom was engaging, funny and made this an enjoyable experience. Great job!
