Full description
So many people visit New York City and never get to see Brooklyn. It's been said that a trip to Brooklyn is like a trip around the world. Find out for yourself on a unique 4.5-hour tour. Explore the ethnic diversity of New York City on a guided tour that’s both a history and a gastronomy lesson. Take a trip back in time in this New York borough that you probably haven’t heard all that much about. New Williamsburg is a neighborhood that’s home to many ethnic groups and a thriving art community. Enjoy a slice of delectable authentic Neapolitan brick-oven thin-crust pizza and a freshly prepared cannoli for dessert. Drive through the ultra-orthodox Hasidic Jewish area where time seems to stand still. Greenpoint features one of largest Polish populations in the United States. Visit a favorite neighborhood eatery that offers up the best kielbasa sausage and pierogies. In the DUMBO area you’ll stop for a sample of delicious chocolate at the Jacques Torres chocolate factory. Our tour guide, Laurie, was superb. Knowledgeable, engaging and lots of fun. This is such a great way to explore other parts of New York and we were so happy we chose this tour. The food was all excellent and it was great to try foods we hadn’t considered before. I have to recommend a glass of the Brooklyn Lager to go with the pizza! Perfect combo.

This was one of the most memorable experiences we had during our NYC visit! Laurie, our guide, was wonderful and she was so knowledgeable, fun, and kind. I can’t say enough about how she made us all feel, calling us by our first names and by the end of the tour, we felt like we were saying goodbye to friends, people we would love to meet up with again. She was so gracious that she offered to take my sister and I with her and our first subway ride and then used her metro-card! Again, we can’t express our thanks enough for such a wonderful outing and would encourage anyone to take this tour with Laurie for an experience that will stay with you for a long time. Loved it!!!

It was a great tour. Very well organized. Tour guide was personable and knowledgeable. My one complaint is that he stood in the front of the small bus we were on blocking most of the view out of the front of the bus. I wanted to be able to see the areas we were driving through!
