1. From York: Haworth and Yorkshire Dales Day Trip

Start your tour from York city center. Stop at the Bingley Five Rise Locks, a spectacular feat of engineering constructed in 1774. Move on to Haworth, where the Bronte family lived from 1820. Visit the Bronte Parsonage Museum and the Bronte Memorial Chapel in the nearby church, or explore the quaint shops on the main street and have a leisurely lunch in one of the traditional English cafes. Head up Penistone Hill to admire the moorland views towards Top Withens, where the Brontes walked to gain inspiration, before heading north for your afternoon in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Arrive in the traditional Dales village of Linton to explore Linton Falls, before continuing through the National Park. Stop at Bolton Abbey to explore the Priory Church and ruins of the 12th-century Augustinian Priory in its beautiful riverside setting, or take the stepping stones challenge if you are feeling more adventurous. Travel through the Dales back towards York, passing through Harrogate before your arrival back at the meeting point.

Great day -- it's a nice itinerary and the guide did a good job on timing. It was just about right for each stop (although we could have used half and hour more at Haworth for those of us who read everything in museums and still wanted a more relaxed lunch!). Knowledgeable, accomodating driver guide. All in all, I had a wonderful time and was really happy to have booked this tour.

The Trip from York to Haworth and the Yorkshire Dales (first calling at Bingley) was excellent. Mark the driver was knowledgeable and concerned about my comfort. It is a very pleasant way for those without transport of their own to see this part of Yorkshire.

The guide spoke clearly and struck a good balance of being personable and professional. Beautiful choice of countryside to see.

it’s actually good, the driver is the guide too. he explain the history while driving and we really enjoy the trip!

highly recommend this tour . fantastic tour guide, safe driver Mark .
