Passing through on the way to Banff we made the trek across the Skywalk and it was well worth the time. I'm generally not one to seek out heights of more than a few feet and so I hesitated before I took my first step on the see-through glass looking down almost one thousand feet to what seems like a bottomless drop. I did however gather the courage to proceed at the risk of certain death, or so I thought. I can report I survived relatively unscathed and ended up walking the glass three times at the direction and command of my teenage daughter who enjoyed the spectacle of my knees shaking more than she did the intended attractions and scenery.
The Golden Skybridge was pretty incredible. You cross over not 1 but 2 suspension bridges. Scary for some of the kids but by time they crossed the second one they found it really fun. There's a beautiful playground for kids. Try the food there because it's amazing. The place isn't finished. They are adding a swing and a zipline over the canyon. There is also a obstacle course mid journey that the kids can stop and do for 20$.
It was amazing. The drive to the center tho was a little rough because it was snowing the whole day but regardless of that fact, the Skywalk was open and staff were accomodating to all visitors. I would definitely recommend it.
Our tour guide and driver Ian was awesome. He was funny, informative and gave clear instructions on departure/arrival times and gave good tips on things to do on our stay in Vancouver.
The shuttle guides are great. We had a tour in person with Morgan and it was very informative. The view was spectacular!
