What people are saying about Bourgogne-Franche-Comté

Our guide was very knowledgeable, funny, kind and caring. The tour was small, so highly personalized. It was clear she had developed strong relationships with the local wineries and as a result the tour felt elevated--the guides were kind to us, funny, and gave us generous tastings! We went to one big winery that made Chablis (petit chablis, chablis, premiere crus, and grande crus) and then another smaller winery that has been around since 1577 and is still run by the same family (19 generations!). We stopped for lunch and chose a great restaurant as per her recommendation (one of my favourite lunches on our trip). We ended our tour by stopping at another quick sparkling wine tasting which was interesting since it wasn't in Champagne. Would recommend this trip to anyone!

This was a really cool experience -- the small group meant that we could all hear everything and ask whatever questions we had. The guide was super knowledgeable about the wines we were tasting, the specifics of wineries and the wine-making process of the region, and had some cool wine toys he was able to show us. Of course wine is always subjective, but on the whole I enjoyed the wines we tasted. Even the one or two I didn't like I could tell were still good wines, just not to my taste. They will also ship wines home to you (at least to the US). Overall just a great experience.

I, who has joined in countless numbers of tastings, can confirm that this was one of the best tastings i have ever had. Professionally done with an amateur spirit. Gives a very good idea about burgundy wines across appellation levels. We were also lucky to be a group of people at similar ages; so, we could enjoy each other s company while tasting and getting tipsy.

Turned up and all seemed very unassuming, and then we were taken down into the hotel's cellar. It looked terrific. Understand it had been relatively recently refurbished and to great effect. Had a private tasting in the room which was wonderful and very different from schlepping around cellar doors. Felt very refined and was a lovely introduction to Burgundy

Emmanuel was personable and incredibly knowledgeable, due no doubt to his many years of experience in the wine industry. The van was quiet and comfortable, and we happily bought wines at each stop…
