Explore the 15th-century cellars of the Maison Champy and its history in the heart of Beaune on a guided walking tour. Head to this prestigious climat, a vineyard site combining vine plots, grape variety, and winemaking know-how. Taste 5 Village and Premier Cru wines. Start your tour at Maison Champy, the oldest wine company in Burgundy boasting a history dating back to 1720. Discover the story of this prestigious wine house and walk inside its cellars. To cap off the tour, have a tasting of 5 wines.

You’ll be picked up at 9:30 AM at the Beaune tourist office and travel in an air conditioned minivan (maximum of 8 passengers) on this full-day wine tour. The tour begins with a winery visit in Beaune, where you’ll find a wide range of different wines, including several Premiers crus and Grand crus. You'll be introduced to different appellations such as Saint-Aubin, Meursault Premier Cru Les Charmes and Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru. After the winery visit you'll have free time for lunch and for a visit to the 15th-century Hospices de Beaune (admission to be paid on site). After lunch, you'll head out along the scenic Route des Grands Crus and stop at the famous Romanée-Conti, which produces the most expensive wine in the world. You'll also have guided tours at Clos Vougeot and in Côte de Nuits. Founded in 1098 by monks, the vineyard of Clos de Vougeot covers 50 hectares. The castle houses the brotherhood of the Knights of the Tastevin. Its wines are some of the most famous in Burgundy, including Le Clos Vougeot Grand Cru. At Nuits Saint Georges you'll have the opportunity to visit a wine cellar and share some time with the winemaker around a tasting of his best Pinot Noir wines. At the end of the tour you’ll be transferred back to Beaune and dropped off at the tourist office at 17:30.

After lunch you ride downhill to the Grand Cru of Puligny-Montrachet. Savor local flavors with a wine tasting session at the vineyard and learn about the different vines in Burgundy. Here you will understand more about the plant, the soil, and why Burgundy wine is one of the best. Visit the winery estate and stone cellar and get the chance to buy some bottles directly from the seller. Enjoy the convenience of having the bottles that you buy delivered directly to your hotel or home. Return to the meeting point in Beaune through an easy, downhill route.

After meeting with your guide, you will begin your ride along the bike paths of one of the most prestigious vineyards in France, between old stones and deep heritage. Your guided tour will cross many of the charming towns and villages which create the reputation of the great wines of Burgundy, such as Marsannay-la-Côte, Fixin, Brochon, and Gevrey-Chambertin. There is no difficulty for this course, with this walk suitable for everyone. It will be punctuated by breaks in which you can enjoy the decor, talk about the vineyard, and taste local specialties such as parsley ham and cheeses. Pedal along through the quaint vineyard towns of Marsannay-la-Côte, Fixin, Brochon, and Gevrey-Chambertin. Taste why these villages are responsible for giving the area of Burgundy its great reputation as a wine producer.  Try white wine and black currant wine, as well as Burgundy meat, cheese, and bread. An easy course, the tour is suitable for all levels of skill and fitness. On this tour you will visit three different wineries and taste more than ten amazing wines, including red, white, and rosé.  At the first winery, you will visit the vineyards and learn about the distinct characteristics of this region’s soil.
