The tour started promptly with a manageable group of 10-15 people. The guide introduced himself as a history graduate student who could answer any questions we had. He was indeed quite knowledgeable and led us on a leisurely pace through the sites. The tour lasted 3 hours, half an hour beyond the allotted 2.5. However, it didn't feel long until maybe the last half hour or so, the guide was so informative and did a great job tying the sites together into a coherent narrative. This tour is definitely for history buffs and would likely not be as enjoyable for casual sightseers. The guide found places for us to sit down a couple times but it was mostly walking and standing, so wearing good shoes is highly advised.
