Mattia is an excellent English-speaking guide who took us for a great tour of some interesting food and drink locations in Bologna, ranging from a coffee bar to a Balsamic Vinegar tasting with salami, cheese and gelati mixed in. Along the route Mattia showed us interesting places significant to the history of Bologna. We had a simple but tasty lunch with wine included. The group was a good size with 10 people and worked well for the places visited. We were made very welcome at all the shops and workplaces we visited. My wife is a non-meat eater and was very well catered for throughout the tour which included some very meaty locations. The tour was run at a comfortable pace which, as I walk with a stick and am a little unsteady and slow, was very helpful.
Our guide was sweet Isidora. Although we took the tour after spending a few days of exploring Bolonga, she taught us so much. An endless source of knowledge, portrayed in the most charming way. Do not miss it. What can be better than superb food and history and culture? Long live "Bologna the fat" together with "Bologna the learned".
Highly recommended if your goal to see Bologna is for it's sumptuos food. Our guide was very knowledgeable. It was a day of treat walking around the center and all kinds of food and wine on every stop. Can't recommend it enough to anyone traveling Bologna.
Very nice and I can definitely recommend the Tour. Isadora was super friendly, she is a local and her english was perfect. We got a fantastic tour, ate all we could ask for and even a couple of historical facts while we walked through downtown.
We tasted many of the regional meats, pastas, cheeses and some wine. The guide was very knowledgeable about food and Bologna history. Only negative would be balsamic tasting which was shared and not hygienic.
