Amazing tour, Julia was super friendly and knowledagble. Great walking tour between the stops in one of the really cool Bogota neighbourhoods. I'm vegetarian and didn't feel like I missed out at all, there was a delicious option for me at each stop. They even accomodated a dairy free participant. Little shocked by the option to try capabera as a local dish, but those who tried it liked it, and said it tastes like pork. Tour ran longer than advertised, we finished around 6, but this is mostly because we were all sitting around enjoying our food and getting to know everyone. Overall loved it, highly recommend, special shout out to Julia who was awesome.
Our guide was Andres. A wonderful and knowledgeable guide. He picked us up on time and explained everything in detail and with a lot of patience. The tour itself was excellent and we covered just about everytning in Bogota. The best parts were the Botero and gold museums as well walk around bolivar square and Candelaria area of old bogota. Monserrate has good views of bogota from the top but is otherwise overrated. One advice for people with mobility issues. The tour involves a fair bit of walking and some steps and walking uphill.
We have been on many food tours in many countries, and this was certainly one of the best we have done. Our guide Julie was fun and informative. Her English was also great. We tried many things that most foreigners have not eaten including a unique animal for South America Capybara and many interesting fruits. We had such a great time, but one of the best parts was going to a local home with a wonderful family and learning to make empanadas. I would highly recommend this your for everyone, and make sure to come hungry.
This food tour provided a great overview of Colombian cuisine. Everything we tried was delicious and we really appreciated both how informative and laid-back Fredy was. He was prepared to answer any question and made the day a wonderful experience. Thanks, Fredy!
We booked the tour online 90 minutes in advance. Gina was waiting for us at the convened location. There were 9 participants from different parts of the world. Despite some rain, the walk, the food, the beverages and the overall experience were phenomenal.
