I really loved this tour. Santiago was the best tour guide I could ask for. His knowledge about the history of Bogotá and Colombia is very impressive, and I learned so much about Colombia’s past, present, and the direction of the future. I enjoyed walking around La Candelaria and learning about the different squares and buildings. The Gold Museum is very cool also and is tied directly into the history of the country. Go see this tour if you can!

very useful

At extra cost, we had arranged to be picked-up at our hotel (67 street). The walking tour (La Candelaria, Gold Museum, and Monserrate) started at the office in the old city center (Bogotá). Our guide spoke very good english. It was very useful: without her directions and explanations we would have been "lost" in the Gold Museum (the first stop of our tour): there is so much to see in that museum, that you need make a good choice of what to see (in around 1 hours time) and what to skip. She knew all about it, excellent! The walking tour through the other parts of of the old town and La Candelaria was interesting, as well as going to the top of Monserrate.
