Absolutely amazing experience. Definitely something worth seeing when in Colombia and it's only 1.5-2 hours from Bogota. Mind blowing to think that it was all carved out underground. Had no idea that it houses the stations of the cross depicting the day of Jesus' crucifixion. the driver only speaks Spanish but this wasn't much of a problem. Audio guides are available once you get to the Cathedral in different languages and explain each station as you walk through. The best part was probably the main sanctuary at the end which I think houses the tallest underground cross in the world as well as the fact services are still held there! Once you buy tickets there can be a bit of a wait to enter, I think they let groups of people through every 30 minutes or so but it is definitely worth the wait! Don't visit Bogota without coming here! You do stop for food on the way back from Bogota however it is not included in the price.

Very nice trip with Carlos who was very informative. Well paced easy going tour. Carlos only speaks Spanish but the audio guide for the salt cathedral is in English. Fun lunch in the village afterwards where we could talk about the experience as a group. Breathtaking views ! We learned a lot about the history and the region. Thanks Carlos !
