Marvel at the cathedral’s architecture built within the mine’s remaining caverns and tunnels.  You will have 2 hours inside the Cathedral to visit all the sights as the audio guide explains about the process of salt formation, the architecture, and the mining process within every detail. Inside the mine, there are different pieces of stonework and sculpture that, due to their size and illumination, make this spectacular wonder an engineering jewel, famous around the world. You may also visit the light show at the very end of the tunnels before returning to Bogotá.

Very well organised, and the cathedral is definitely worth visiting, it's so much bigger then it looks in pictures, it's really impressive. One small piece of advice: if you can try to avoid going on a weekend, the traffic can be quite heavy and it'll shorten your time at the town (which is pretty), also there'll be a longer queue to enter

Good mix and itinerary. Would have liked even more time at the Cathedral to try the advanced mining experience or spa. Had to request and be patient for English translations for the first half until we actually got inside the Cathedral (the bus, the town, etc). Restaurant was very good and full of both locals and tourists. Great variety.

So very well done and organized. I prefer to do things on my own time and find my own way, but this was so convenient and the guides were so nice. We got back around 4:30 PM, I was a bit worried about the timing because I was on a layover in Bogota but I was the only one a little late getting out of the mine 😂 Our timeline: Check @ 9 Arrive at park in Zipaquira @ 11 Got to mine around 11:45 Exited @ 2, to restaurant 3 PM ish left Back at 4:30 The mine is stunning and incredible with the lights! Fascinating to learn about the geologic history, which you can hear in English too if needed (I listened to both). The live guide had more to say in Spanish so prioritize that if you speak Spanish of course. But the English audio was great too, and included in price
