The day begins with pickup from your hotel. Head to the first stop of the tour, Rabil, the second most populated village on Boa Vista Island. Visit a ceramic factory to learn about the ancient art of pottery as well as Olaria, one of the few forms of local craftsmanship. Depart from Rabil and cross the palm-lined oasis towards the Viana Desert. Learn about how the desert started forming in the 1980s and has continued to grow due to trade winds that bring sand from the Sahara and Mauritania. Feel the wind in your hair and the adrenaline pump through your body on a thrilling ride across the sand dunes on your quad bike. Continue the tour to Bofareira, a small and sleepy village on the north side of the island, before enjoying a break at Cape Santa Maria to see the shipwreck. Next, drive to Sal Rei city, for a short break followed by a ride along the old cobblestone road to Fatima Church. Admire this recently renovated church while taking in the breathtaking view of the stunning sandy coves that surround you. At the end of an unforgettable day, enjoy drop-off back to your accommodation.

Begin the tour with pickup from your hotel in Santa Maria. Transfer to the local partner's main office where you will be required to show your driver's license. Get kitted out and board your 4x4 to begin your adventure.  On the two-hour tour, discover the salt flats of Santa Maria, surrounded by beautiful sand dunes. Zip past Kite Beach, the favorite beach of kite surfers, before cruising along to Serra Negra, Sal's natural reserve. Stop at the viewpoint here, where you'll be rewarded with an amazing panorama of the entire south part of the island and out to Boavista Island (weather permitting) Buzz across the desert and then stop at the Palha Verde Oasis. Finally, end the tour with a stop at Ponta Preta, the most beautiful beach on the island. Return to the main office and then to your hotel in Santa Maria.

Many rate is as the best they’ve ever seen! We then head on to the oldest village on the island, called Povoação Velha. A village inhabited by farmers, fishermen and goat headers. Take a few minutes to visit them and immerse in the local culture. Next stop will be Varandinha beach where we find the hidden caves along the beach. It’s a protected beach because of the loggerhead sea turtles which visit every year to spawn. Keep it going through west coast stopping at Morro de Areia for a bit of extra fun on our Sandboarding activity before heading off for a traditional lunch in a local restaurant. Once you’ve tasted Boa Vista’s delicious cuisine, it’s time to go off-road again for the second half adventure... The Shipwreck at Cabo Santa Maria beach, a ship wreck that is 55 years old now and holds some fascinating stories from life way back! We then head off to our last stop to find the capital Sal Rei City, to see where everything happens here in Boa Vista and a chance to get those bargains and souvenirs. First, be picked up at your hotel and depart to Rabil village where our team will give the relevant instructions of the tour and your ATV vehicle. Then, drive south until you reach a dry river. Arrive at the beautiful Oasis de Fonte Vicente and observe the leafy fruit trees including giant fig trees, robust almond trees, tamarinds, and an exotic baobab tree. Next, explore the old village of Coral Velho before you arrive at Fundo das Figueiras where you will stop for a delicious lunch.After that, cross Cabeça de Tarrafas, Santinha, and reach the stunning sand dunes of the Viana desert. Learn how the dunes were formed as you admire the incredible landscape. Drive along the edge of the desert on the way back to Rabil. Conclude your adventure with drop-off at your accommodation.

Santa Monica beach The most beautiful beach in Cape Verde. The beach is very long (18 miles) and deserted.
