This worked out well as other options were just too cost-prohibitive. Pick-up was from the BSI Bus Terminal at 13:00 and took about 50 minutes to get to Blue Lagoon. There, the bus waited for 4 hours while we enjoyed the Lagoon. At 18:00, the bus departed back for the BSI Terminal while making stops at various hotels within the city center. It was a big, full bus and the downside was that there was some people that were clearly sick as they could not stop coughing. What made matters worse is that the one guy didn’t even wear his mask properly.
Cristina, our tour guide was excellent. Even when we could not experience the eruption of the volcano, she tried to compensate it with other sightseeing along our way to Blue Lagoon. She is a knowledgeable person and she entertained us with stories while driving. She behaved as a mother taking care of us in every single thing we need. Also, after the tour finished we asked her for tips on our trip and she kindly took the time to fulfill every concern. The best tour guide!
Didn’t get to see the volcano/lava due to inactivity but that’s the luck of the draw. But our tour guide, Balgur, more than made up for it and was amazing throughout. Took us to numerous great sights and spoke almost non stop about Iceland, it was great! The highlight was the blue lagoon at the end, a truly magical experience.
transfer was on time and easy. took the transfer from reykjavik to blue lagoon at 9am and took the (only) bus at 2.15pm to the airport which was enough time for my 4.50pm flight. nice staff and clean bus and on time
Easy bus terminal to find, easy instructions, the bus left on time, and picked us up at either 2pm or 6pm. Clean bus. Nice ride. Cant complain.
