Full description
This tour has been designed to give you the best chance of visiting the Blue Grotto, one of the most famous attractions of the beautiful island of Capri. This unique sea cave, formed over the millennia by the erosive action of the sea, owes its name and its beauty to the intense blue color of the crystalline water. In Roman times it was used as a marine nymphaeum. To enter the cave, visitors climb aboard a small rowing boat, however, the weather and sea conditions, unfortunately, do not always allow the opening of the cave, in which case it will only be visible from the outside. An early departure allows you to reach the Blue Grotto, the first stop of the tour, at around 09:00 AM, the opening time of the Grotto. In the rush hour the waiting time for visiting the Blue Grotto could be longer than 3 hours.  The day continues with the tour of the whole island reaching the Faraglioni, the White Grotto, the Green Grotto and the Lighthouse of Punta Carena. There are two stops for a swim or for snorkeling and free time to visit the center of Capri, one of the most visited places in the world, rich in archaeological and natural treasures able to excite and amaze.

The tour was amazing! The boat was beautiful and a really good size for the number of people on our tour (only 7 including us). The captain Sebastian and guide on board Pascual were so friendly and informative. We visited all the stops and they even made sure we went back to the blue grotto on the return journey as it had been closed due to high tide when we first arrived (unavoidable). They have us a really good amount of time on the island (4hrs) and great advice on how to get around (bus/taxi) from the port. Nothing was too much trouble, it was a great day out and they couldn’t have looked after us any better. They ensured we had supplies for the time on the island (drinks and lunch).

What a great day! Easy boat ride from Sorrento to our first stop, the Blue Grotto. By going in the morning, we didn't have as long of a wait for our turn to enter the Blue Grotto. (only had to wait about 30 - 45 minutes). Absolutely beautiful water! Even with a somewhat cloudy day, the water was still glowing. I've heard that it's even better in the afternoon with direct sunshine - we just didn't want to have a possible 3 hour wait to get in. Seeing the island of Capri by boat is a must. So many beautiful coves and places to swim. This day was the best day of our vacation!

Had a great day on the boat trip to Capri. Pascal was our guide and he made sure we had a lovely experience. The skipper who's name i cannot remember was also very welcoming. We didn't get to see the Blue Grotto as the tides weren't right on that particular day but we did get to swim in another cave and Pascal said it was just as nice as the Blue Grotto but not as blue in color. We had 3 hours to spend as we wished in Capri and it was wonderful. I would most definitely recommend this boat trip, it's so much nicer than just being a day visitor to the island. Pascal gave us plenty interesting information about the island.
