Škocjan Cave together with the underground stream of the river Reka represents the most important natural phenomenon of the Karst. Due to its exceptional significance, Škocjan Caves were entered into UNESCO’s list of natural and cultural world heritage sites in 1986. View the world’s largest underground canyon and walk across the bridge which is situated 40 meters above the underground river. The Lipica stud farm has over 400 years of tradition and has preserved the breeding of pure Lipizzaner horses for equestrian sports and classic riding schools. Few people know that the world famous Lipizzaner horses come from Lipica, a small village in the Slovene Karst region. You will have a tour of the stud farm and the opportunity to see the horses.
