The guide was excellent. We were fortunate to see a double rainbow and an active volcano. I was disappointed that one family brought a 7 year old child on a 12 hour tour that lasted late....we had to leave the active volcano early because he was whining and ready to go to the car but they couldn't go to the van unless we all went to the van....not the child's fault....it was the parents fault. I think you should be able to choose an adult only option. Other than that, it was great. One suggestion though would be to give out headlights instead of flashlights so participants have both of their hands available for balance in the lava tube.

This was an awesome experience and I highly recommend! Any great tour starts with the guide and ours (Taj) was top tier. He had passion and enthusiasm and engaged everyone on the tour Be prepared for a 10-12 hour day with some sensory overload. Lava flows, steam vents, lava tubes you enter, and the knowledge you acquire will make you recommend this trip to your friends.

If your interested in volcanoes, this is the trip for you. The lava tube was cool. You will walk across the lava fields and hear the history of the different flows. The finale was to actually see the lava flow after sunset. Be prepared for the weather. I’m glad I wore long pants,shirt, jacket, and that our guide had raincoats. Good walking shoes a must.
