Our tour guide Jesus was amazing, extremely informative and helpful! Extremely organised tour and loved the whole day. Highlight was the final stop with the view over San Sebastián. Was terrific to have lunch there and explore, we found a lovely little restaurant. Beautiful countryside!

It was a very long day (11 hours) and the guide was nice but he was very light on his knowledge of English. I did not understand anything he said in English and while he was explaining things in English, something would happen, or we would pass something, and he would break back into Spanish to explain what it was, and then pick up where he left off in English. I feel I missed a lot because of it. At one of the stops, we went to a chocolate shop to get a taste and the guide made a comment that it was taking longer because the person in the shop was speaking English, and he was speaking Spanish. Bottom line, the guide’s English should have been much better to call it an English speaking tour. I felt it was too much time spent in San Sebastián (2 3/4 hrs), and there was no close by beach access, whereas the other towns had a beach in the center of the town, but we only spent 30 minutes in each. Not enough time to do anything at all.

Pick up on time, small mini bus, max 8 passengers. Fairly long drive to Biarritz but our guide, Josh, gave us history of the Basque region, in English and Spanish. We stopped at a lighthouse overlooking Biarritz where the views were stunning. In Biarritz, roads closed as Bastille Day (14th July). Josh, was very apologetic, he managed to find a drop off and pick up point. We then had a short time in town for a coffee, browse and sea views. Personally I enjoyed the stop at Saint Jean de Luz, much more traditional, would have liked longer to explore. Josh was very informative about the areas. On towards San Sebastian (old town) and chocolate tasting. Josh pointed out various restaurants, foodie shops of quality and value for us to browse in our free time. We had a short guided tour of the main square. Pick up location and time pointed out and then lots of free time to eat, browse and shop. On the way home josh took time to stop at another viewpoint overlooking San Sebastian. Great day.
