  • Berlin: Guided Bike Tour of the Berlin Wall and Third Reich

    5. Berlin: Guided Bike Tour of the Berlin Wall and Third Reich

Immerse yourself in an exciting journey through time into Berlin's moving and not so distant past. The tour begins in the centrally-located Nikolaiviertel, just 5 minutes on foot from the TV Tower. Start your tour where Berlin's history first began. Jump on the bike of your choice and for 15 kilometers, listen to fascinating facts and lesser-known stories about historical sites from the Nazi era and the Cold War. Knowledgeable and entertaining guides will lead you to remote corners, predominantly down side streets and bike paths, and give you the inside story. See what life was like in the once divided city and find out why it is no longer possible to access Hitler's bunker ("Führerbunker"). Follow the outline of where the wall once stood, and see former ghost stations, old bunkers, and huge buildings with eventful histories.

We participated in a biking WWII tour around Berlin, that I highly recommend. Content was great, it was well prepared and our guide was knowledgeable. There is so much to see that unfortunately you can't spend too much time at each stop but this way we cover a lot of venues.

The bust tour was fine but you need more that 2 days if you want to spend a reasonable time at the sites because the bus only runs between 1000 and 1800. The music on the bus commentary translators is dire and needs to be changed. The Reichstag tour is a must and was the highlight of the visit to Berlin. We also enjoyed the Brandenburg Gate, Cathedral and Checkpoint Charlie. The city is huge and you need the public transport. We used trams and underground and all were easy to use. Plenty of places to eat and a large variety of international foods. We stayed at Hotel Abba Berlin which was reasonably central and was clean and comfortable. There is more to see in Berlin than is apparent from travel brochures.

What people are saying about Berlin Wall Memorial

Ok I usually never write comments, but this time I have to!! This tour was just perfect! Ciaran told us so many historical facts and he did it in a way that it was not boring for a second! Normally at tours I get bored after around 2 hours but with Ciaran after 3 hours tour I could have gone on forever :D His funny Irish nature is just too good. Ciaran is a tour guide that really cares for his clients and wants them to have a great experience. He does his tours wholeheartedly and for that I would give him way more stars than five if I could. Thanks so much

Me and my boyfriend loved this activity. Jake, our guide, was very nice and made a tour about heavy topics, fun. We learned so much and we saw the less touristic parts of Berlin. We were only a small group with four so we had all the time and it was easy to stay together. Highly recommend this!

Having a ticket for all connections is perfect. Only the e-scooters are missing ;-).
