Full description

Spend 3 hours discovering the fascinating city of Berlin on this fantastic guided tour through the city.

This Berlin World War II Tour concentrates on the effects, history, buildings, and stories surrounding Berlin in the Second World War.

First, we will explore the Battle of Berlin to explore how Berlin served as the Nazi stronghold in Germany and command center for Hitler and the Third Reich. This will be followed by discovering the Reichstag — a historic building in Berlin which houses the Bundestag, the lower house of Germany's parliament. Then we will proceed to the Russian-German War Museum (Entrance is Free) to understand how Berlin may have played the biggest part of any city during the atrocities that took place in World War II.

Next, we will uncover the Flak Tower to see the damage brought on by thousands of allied bombs and the defense structures built to keep them out. Then, we will proceed to the Prenzlauer Berg to look at the scars and battlefields left behind during the Battle of Berlin.

Lastly, we will end the tour at the Site of Hitler's Bunker to see the spot where Hitler had his notorious underground lair. This Tour visits many World War II historical sights and memorials. Along the way, our guide will recount historic events and urban legends. Our guides can and will point out many interesting stories and facts that many would just walk over! We cover a lot but expect to be able to stop for drinks along the way and walk at a nice leisurely pace. Come see the streets come alive as we jump back in history and see the effects of the largest conflict the world has ever seen on the Original Berlin World War II Third Reich Tour.

We had a tour with Miguel in which the other attendees didn’t turn up so we had our own private tour! Miguel was an exceptional guide who had a very detailed knowledge of the Third Reich and WW2. He also provided insight into other things throughout our tour which we found very informative. He was very accommodating, always open for questions and an all-round brilliant host. I would recommend this tour to anyone and want to say a big thank you to Miguel!

The tour was very well organised. The tour guide took you through the history very clarity and purpose. He is very knowledgeable about all historical aspects not just the tour topic. It’s 4 hours long but it doesn’t feel like it. Richardo was very patient and tolerant. Very personable. A real treat for us. Bring comfortable shoes as there is a fair degree of walking on all terrains.

The walking tour in Berlin was very nice and informative. We learned a lot about the history of the city and visited a lot of nice spots, which we would have never found alone. Our tour guide, Caro, was a very kind and funny woman, which encouraged us to ask a lot of questions about the city and answered them perfectly well. She also gave us a lot of good ideas to eat and shopping recommendations. After the tour we had a bunch of new ideas what to do and what to visit in Berlin. Thank you!
