On this tour, discover the intriguing architecture of socialist East Berlin. From the Stalinallee (Stalin Blvd.) of the 1950s, to the Karl-Marx-Allee (Karl-Marx Blvd.) of the 1960s, to the modern Alexanderplatz square of the 1970s, you follow a magnificent route through the buildings built upon the ruins of war-torn Berlin.
The tour starts at Frankfurter Gate with its two impressive towers, highlighting the beginning of Stalin Boulevard. At Strausberger Platz the neo-classical Socialist architecture is followed by Socialist Modernism. The Alexanderplatz square once was the Socialist city center of East-Berlin.
The tour ends at the World Clock at Alexanderplatz.
