Berchtesgaden and Konigssee were both great places. However, the time given to us was very limited. We were included in a group going to the Salt Mines so while they were there, the shuttle took us to Konigssee. Once there, most of the shops are closed. And we only had arround 50minutes to wander around so we weren't able to ride a boat which I think shluld be the highlight of this said tour. After that, we want back to the shuttle then picked up those in the Salt Mines and we went to Berchtesgaden. Also, we had very limited time there. Only about an hour to explore the Berchtesgaden Advent Market.
Small van of up to eight to ensure you can get round the roads to see some spectacular views out over Austria and Berchtesgaden and the Bavarian border mountains from both sides. The Lake is magestic - it was cold in Feb but worth it to see the panoramas and with superb apple strudel at the end you warm up again. Daniel was an awesome guide full of stories and information and great to chat with.
This was an easy half day, starting in the afternoon, and including some iconic locations at Berchtesgaden and Konigssee. The opportunity to have a meal in Berchtesgaden was a nice way to finish the tour. The coach was well appointed, the driver was attentive, and our guide filled the tourist with heaps of interesting information and anecdotes.
Leo was our tour guide and he really knew his stuff! Coming from working in the travel industry myself, it was awesome having an amazing tour experience because I can now go home with a recommendations for my clients!
Great trip to am amazing place. The lake was amazing and we had enough time to take in the views and grab a quick beer. Our guide was great, friendly and very informative.
