Full description
Head inland for a ride up into the mountains on this full-day tour. Stop at Guadalest and take time to explore the mountaintop village and visit some of the numerous museums, shops and cafés. Descend to the village of Callosa before reaching Algar. Enjoy lunch at a typical restaurant, at your own expense. Each of the restaurants has its own swimming pool that you can use free of charge. Relax and enjoy the Algar Waterfalls in a peaceful setting and dip your toes in one of the many pools. For the more adventurous, there are areas designated for diving. It was the inclusion of the waterfalls in one of the episodes of ITVs hit series Benidorm that made the attraction famous.

Good day out but the rep was more interested in selling museum tickets on the coach rather than explain other things such as how to get up to the castle and how much that would cost. It was good to pre-order a meal deal at the Algar Falls but we didn't get much time at the falls - the coach left earlier than we thought it would and we were back at our hotel in Benidorm just before 3.30pm - an extra hour or half hour at the falls would have improved the day.

Guadelest is a very nice place to view, to photograph, to buy souvenirs. I understand that the tour guide wants to sell tickets for museums, but we are happy not to have done so, a waste of your time there. The falls are definitely not recommended for people who have difficulty walking or who are in poor condition

    Great value for money.

Modern coach picked us up 100m from our hotel, spent another 20 minutes picking up additional passengers. The short drive to Guadalest was extremely smooth and our guide pointed out notable points of interest & culture. Adequate time to explore the mountainous haven & a visit to the dolls museum is a must see. The trip downhill to the Algar Waterfalls was accompanied by a fascinating commentary by our guide. Algar met all our expectations and a pleasant 2 hours was spent there. There are many restaurants, many with accompanying pools that you can take a dip and very reasonably priced. The 30 minute trip back to our hotel was pleasant and our driver Manuel deserved his tip. A very pleasant 6.5 hours . Will definitely use another trip with the same company on our next visit next year.
