Full description

Make the most of your time in Northern Ireland and take in all the main sights along the Causeway Coastal Route in one day on this bus trip from Belfast. See the Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, and Dunluce and Carrickfergus Castles at your own pace.

Meet your guide at the iconic Europa Hotel and hop on board the bus for a breathtaking journey along the 130-mile Causeway Coastal Route. Stop to admire the beauty of Carrickfergus Castle, the oldest Norman Castle in Northern Ireland, before continuing to Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge.

Once there, if you are feeling brave, you can opt to stroll along the famous 20-meter rope bridge and witness the crashing waves below you. Get inspired by the ingenuity and skills of local salmon fishermen, who first erected a bridge here over 250 years ago.

If you prefer to keep your feet firmly on dry land, you can enjoy a stroll around the many walking trails on the land side of the rope bridge, including an exhilarating coastal walk with views of the Giant's Causeway.

Next, sit down to lunch at the world's oldest licenced working distillery, the Old Bushmills Distillery (not included in the cost of the tour). Savor some traditional Northern Irish dishes and even get your taste buds tingling with a glass or two of Bushmills whiskey.

After lunch, immerse yourself in the mythical world of Finn McCool at the Giant's Causeway, Northern Ireland's only UNESCO Site. Learn about the myths and legends that surround the Causeway area from your local guide and enjoy some free time to explore the 40,000 basalt columns at your own pace.

On the way back to Belfast, enjoy a final stop at Dunluce Castle. You may recognize this castle as the location of The House of Greyjoy from Game of Thrones.

This trip was perfect! It allowed us to explore so many features of the coastal route towards the Giant's Causeway without feeling rushed. The stop off times at each landmark were just right for exploring and getting a feel of each place. We stopped at most areas for 20-30 minutes. We also got to spend well over an hour at the Giant's Causeway itself so it gave us plenty of time to take in the views and explore the area. Our guide (Carl) was friendly and approachable. He had a vast knowledge of the different areas we visited and frequently spoke to us throughout the trip. Overall, this is a fantastic trip and will not leave you disappointed. We wouldn't have been able to create a trip this well planned out and timed ourselves. It's great value for money and I highly recommend it.

The tour lasted about 9 hours. The bus was comfortable and had USB connectors to charge the mobile. The route was the same as in the description, it goes through several scenarios where Game of Thrones has been filmed, although you don't have to be a fan of the series to enjoy the stops (we haven't seen the series and enjoyed it just the same). The driver was explaining to us as we got closer to the sites. All explanations are in English and the driver was very friendly. We stopped to have lunch at the Fullerton Arms, in Ballintoy, it was delicious and it wasn't very expensive. I had several options to choose from.

Great experience! Had a full 2 hours in the Giant Causeway, which is plenty. Enough time to take pictures and enjoy each stops, the commentary was enjoyable and gave enough context on each sites and Belfast/Northern Ireland in general. Lunch can be pre-ordered early in the tour, which makes for a very efficient lunch time - helps that the food taste amazing and the place is a sight too (especially for Game of Thrones fan!). Overall amazing tour, probably the best part of my visit to Belfast
