Full description

Discover the famous Giant's Causeway on a guided tour from Belfast. Visit the Dark Hedges, made famous in Game of Thrones, and admire the scenic views around Dunluce Castle.

Depart Belfast and travel by coach to The Dark Hedges, a beautiful avenue of beech trees planted by the Stuart family in the 18th century as an impressive feature of the driveway to their Gracehill Manor. Continue to the Giant's Causeway to marvel at 40,000 interlocking basalt columns formed by ancient volcanic eruptions. Learn about the legend of Finn, said to have built the causeway to cross the Irish Sea to fight a Scottish giant known as Benandonner.

Enjoy impressive views of Sheep Island and the Mull of Kintyre. Take around 2 hours to explore and look around. Stop for a picture at Dunluce Castle, a now-ruined medieval castle. Capture this photogenic castle built in the 13th century and hear how it has inspired many TV programs, poems, and songs.

Had a really good day, the guild was fun and full of knowledge. Only thing that let it down was we never got a close look of dunluce castle or the rope bridge. We were so far away you could take in all the details. We booked this tour as a GOT tour so was expecting to get up closer. Giant causeway was amazing we had over and hour there exploring and taking pictures.

Great day, our guide, Qiggs was fantastic, his knowledge and story telling was exceptional. The only criticism of the trip was that we didn’t get long enough at the dark hedges, it was a bit of a walk from the coach so we walked at speed, took very quick photos and walked at speed back, grabbed a coffee takeout and back on the bus. We had plenty of time at the giants causeway. The castle was also just a phot from the distance, you don’t actually go near it.

This trip was great! Tour guide Quiggs was lovely, very knowledgeable about everything and attentive throughout (also had a nice driver called Ray). Would recommend if you don’t want to do a full day tour, we went from Belfast and it was a good amount of time. Also defo bring snacks with you, there are stops at each site but not for long enough to eat anything substantial from a restaurant/cafe, so getting back at 3:30 to Belfast was a long time to go without lunch. Overall good value for money trip!
