This was an excellent tour with Cab Tours Belfast and our driver, Ciaran was outstanding. He grew up in the neighborhood and experienced the Troubles firsthand in a very personal way. Ciaran could explain the murals very well - what they signified, who the subjects were, and their role in the Troubles. He offered a balanced perspective, but it was obvious that he lived through very dangerous, tumultuous, and sad times. We really appreciated his descriptions, the history, and the sites he took us to see. We ended up at the Crumlin Road Prison and enjoyed our tour of this very historical and ominous prison. I highly recommend this tour and considered it to be a great value.

This tour was the highlight of our trip! Our tour guide was Diarmuid and we couldn’t have asked for someone better. He was really professional and educational, we learned a lot from the tour and it was interesting to hear some personal stories as well to give us an insight of life in Belfast. He also kindly brought us to see one of the parades on Easter Sunday as we were very keen to see it and we are very grateful to have gotten the opportunity to see it. I really recommend this tour and would definitely do it again!

Our tour with Stevie was hands down one of the best travel experiences I have had in my life. His presentation of such a difficult topic was honest, unbiased, heartbreaking, and funny. When I come back to Belfast, which I will, it will be in large part due to the information I gained during the Black Taxi Tour. Ask for Stevie!
