1. From Beaune: Full-Day Bicycle and Wine Tour in Burgundy
This full-day tour takes you into the vineyards of the Côte de Beaune. After adjusting your helmet and a short briefing about how to use the bicycles, you will ride into the heart of the Burgundy wine region. This bike tour in Burgundy has everything from wine tasting, to visiting the charming 13th century medieval castle which was home to a Count and Countess of Burgundy. Enjoy a breathtaking cycle through the hills of the Côte de Beaune passing vineyards, villages, and fields. Take in the sights, smells, and sounds before sitting down to a full lunch at a small restaurant nestled amongst the Beaune hills. After lunch you will ride downhill to the Grand Cru of Puligny-Montrachet. You will enjoy a wine tasting session at the vineyard and learn about the different vines in Burgundy. Here you will understand more about the plant, the soil, and why Burgundy wine is one of the best. A local producer will open his winery for a visit of his estate and stone cellar. Here you will sample 3-4 wines from the area. You also have the chance to buy some bottles directly from the seller – the winemaker will deliver the bottles to your hotel or could send it home for you. You will then go back to Beaune through an easy downhill road.
