This was my favorite of all the excursions I did in Lyon. The first stop was at a church with a stunning view of rolling hills, vineyards, and a small village or two. The guide gave a lesson on the production of Beaujolais wines, and then we tasted a white wine, a rose, and a red wine, with a croissant. Next we were driven to the beautifully quaint town of Oingt and had time to explore. After this we went to a vineyard that has been in the same family for three generations, and saw a 100 year old vine that is still producing grapes. We again tasted probably 15 more wines, with bread and cheese. We also went inside the area where the grapes are processed and the wine is aged and stored. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly.

This is a great tour. Our guide François was knowledgeable, friendly, interesting and a very good driver. He gave us a great overview of the area as we drove through gorgeous terrain to Oingt, a delightful tiny village high up on a hill. After tasting some wine on a beautiful hill facing an amazing view in Oingt, we visited a lovely family winery, where we went out into the vineyard, tasted the grapes and learned how they tend and grow the vines. The wine-tasting afterwards was delicious, with a small snack of meat and cheese and bread. We were back in Lyon by early afternoon. It was a perfect way to get a glimpse of the Beaujolais wine and wine-making area. I highly recommend this tour.

One of our favourite tours on our trip. Thoroughly enjoyed this small group tour to the lovely countryside. Loved the passion of the owner/operator. Visited a winery and shown around by the owner, you wont regret booking this tour. Thank you again for a day we wont forget!

Wonderful wine tour through southern part of Beaujolais. Only 30 mins from Lyon so not a lot of time spend traveling. The guide Ian was excellent and made the experience very enjoyable for us.

The tour includes a stop in a medieval village which was a welcomed addition. The vineyard we stopped at was quaint and all of the wines were delicious! The winemaker was very pleasant.
