Punta Cana: Buggies and Polaris Adventure Tour
- Pickup available
- Duration: 3.5 hours
Fantastic trip. We upgraded to the Polaris Buggy which was fantastic, very fast & a lot more comfortable (we did the basic buggy 3 years ago) & the design meant we didn’t get covered in as much mud. At the venue we upgraded to the Private tour so it was just my boyfriend & I following our guide “Blackie”. It meant we reached the stops before the big group & gave us the flexibility to choose how long we wanted to spend at each stop. It even meant we had the natural pool in the cave to ourselves which was amazing. We had our own photographer as part of the upgrade & the photos we got were brilliant. We would highly recommend the trip & having done the basic tour last time, we much preferred the upgraded Buggie (booked online at the time of booking) & the Private tour (offered when we arrived at the buggy venue & well worth the $70 dollars). The photos were $50 dollars & were emailed to us & also put on a disk. To sum up a fantastic trip, well organised, professional & so much fun
The excursion was definitely involving and very intense! Pro. Notwithstanding the several shifts and activities it was perfectly organised. Guides were very well prepared and provided a big range of info. Places visited were stunning. Cayo Levantado is a paradise. Cons. Before your horse ride to Limon waterfall: take into consideration that the accompanying guys receive no salary for their services (they act as "volunteers"). Each accompany guy is given an horse (and takes care of feeding and cleaning it) and they only live with the tips provided by visitors. Unfortunately the time to enjoy Cayo Levantado (aprox 1 hour30) is very short. Mind the urchins!
The camera guy was annoying as he always wanted us to stop and take our pics. I wish they gave us the option to pass on this part of the trip. I didn't like that they wanted us to buy a bandana and glasses when we got there. We still had a lot of fun. Punctual and did everything the trip said it would do. We had lots of fun in the Mudd and the caves were awesome to see. Kids really enjoyed it too. They are 15 & 13.
Highly recommended!!! Remember to bring your own bandana/head scarf and sunglasses. They can be little pricey at the gift shop. I also recommend purchasing the pictures. I paid $40 (plus a $5 tip) for about 40 pictures!!! The memories are priceless!
The driver was waiting in the front of the airport with my name on a sign. Minivan was clean and air conditioned. Comfortable, fast and realy relaxing tramsport to our hotel.
