Your journey through time starts in the magical library of Georg Aloisius Linnebach. In his library you get to know the most important historical stations from Bavarian´s eventful history. How did Bavaria develop and how did it become what it is today? The highlight of your visit is the Virtual-Reality-Experience. Fly through 7.000 years of Bavarian history. Take a seat in the flying vehicle Ludwig has always dreamed of. He had the vision of a flying peacock wagon. Georg Aloisius Linnebach has made this dream come true and takes you on an unique journey through time by using Virtual Reality technology. After the VR-Tour you have the possibility to get further information in our exhibition room about the single stations you have seen before. In addition, you can take a look behind the scenes. To start your tour, you will explore the extensive grounds of the Veste Oberhaus, which is located high above Passau and is one of the largest and at the same time best-preserved castle complexes in Europe. Then head inside the more than 800-year-old castle walls, where history comes alive in a unique way. Walk in the footsteps of the Passau prince bishops, who once resided in the rooms in which today the Oberhaus Museum presents exciting exhibitions from the Middle Ages to recent history. An absolute highlight is the visit to the newly opened observation tower with multimedia presentation on the multifaceted history of the castles and palaces in the Inn-Salzach-Dona region. A spectacular panoramic view of Passau and the surrounding area awaits you on the top platform. The new Veste Oberhaus app accompanies you on a virtual adventure tour "in the footsteps of knights and prince bishops" through the castle complex. For example, the former drawbridge comes back to life, a panoramic tour shows the most beautiful vantage points and the treasure hunt invites you to discover objects from ancient times at authentic sites. Finally, a visit to the Batterie Linde lookout point is recommended, from where you can enjoy the most beautiful view of the picturesque old town and the famous confluence of the Danube, Inn, and Ilz rivers.

Explore the PLAYMOBIL-FunPark which spreads over an area of more than 90,000 m² and is specially designed for children between 4 and 10 years old. Enjoy the exciting theme worlds where your little ones have a lot of space to play and run. The whole family can enjoy the Aktiv Park with many possibilities to climb, play and discover. Children can go on adventures in the Pirates' Sea, storm the corners of the Knights' Castle or experience the work of a gold digger in the Western City. The Residenz in the heart of Munich was the city palace, once the seat of the Dukes, Princes, and Kings of Bavaria. The extensive complex is the largest city palace in Germany and contains some of the most lavish interiors in Europe. With its art collections and treasury, it is without a doubt the most important cultural site in all of Bavaria. A particular highlight awaits you every Saturday and Thursday in the Munich Residenz. The Residenz Soloists, together with members of the Munich Philharmonic, give a concert in the Hofkapelle where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart himself once played. The concert program is changed weekly and offers masterpieces of the Baroque and Classical periods by Bach, Vivaldi, Handel, Haydn, and works produced by Mozart as a guest composer at the Bavarian court.

Experience the diversity of the underwater world closer than ever at SEA LIFE Munich. The popular aquarium located directly in the Olympic Park offers a journey from local waters like the Isar River to the vast waters of the tropical ocean. Ascend over Munich with a ride on the Umadum Ferris wheel. Take a drink or snack (available for purchase) from the kiosk onto your gondola and relax on a calm rotation up and then down. Experience a concert by the Residenz soloists in one of the most beautiful and important Rococo theaters in Europe where Mozart’s Idomeneo was premiered and where Napoleon was a guest for a performance of Don Giovanni in 1806. The ensemble, consisting of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra and the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, performs selected masterpieces of classical music, leaving long-lasting impressions and wonderful memories for the audience.
