Walk in the footsteps of Tyrion, Daenerys, and Jon Snow as you explore incredible landscapes. First, walk along King's Landing beach, filmed at Muriola Beach in Barrika. Explore the location where Davos Tyrion and Gendry had to flee from the Gold Cloaks. After that, head to a medieval-like castle at Butron Castle. From San Sebastian: French-Basque Countryside Private Tour

2. From San Sebastian: French-Basque Countryside Private Tour

The first stop on the tour is Saint Jean Pied De Port which is considered the start point on the famous St. James Way, the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. The Basque language is still spoken on both sides of the border of this stunning medieval town. Next, it's the town of Bidarray, an off the track town in the countryside. Drive along the famous Pass Du Roland to get to Espelette town. Labourd style houses make this town unique, as it's known for its dried red peppers hanging from their facades. Taste some of the typical products of the region. Ainhoa is known for its church, a cemetery full of the traditional disc-topped monuments and white and red houses - a very typical Basque village. Finally, it's Sare, one of the most beautiful villages. Placed at the base of the first mountain in the Pyrenees mountain range, La Rhune, Sare is a major prehistoric site and has carefully preserved.

What people are saying about Basque Country

Take this tour!!!

This was one of the best tours I have ever taken. The tour was well-planned, organized, and interesting. Two female entrepreneurs designed and run this tour. They are so friendly and accommodating. They also prepared lots if GOT photos, so we could actually see where the exact film sites took place. We were able to climb Dragonstone and had time to relax at a restaurant near there. We also visited a medieval castle, King’s Landing beach, and the Dragonstone beach. We had free time for lunch in lovely town, Bermeo. Between our destinations, the ladies also played GOT scenes of locations to which we were traveling. I was never bored, and the 9-hour trip was full of adventures and fun. Even if you are not a GOT fan, you can definitely appreciate the amazing nature of the Basque Country. I loved every second of it! P.S. The bus driver was exceptionally professional and very careful. I did felt very comfy in the bus and enjoyed the ride.

Trip was great. Loved it. Was exactly what we were looking for. Great for GOT fans. Get your guide has the wrong pickup location. They also have a large markup on the tour. I should have done some more research to book direct but that’s not always easy. All in all, I’d still book with these guides.

It was a great day with the guidance of a wonderful guide.

Guided by a guide familiar with the culture, values, traditions and geography of the Basque country, I was able to gain a deep understanding of the Basque country in a wonderful scenery.

Maria did a wonderful job showing the locations and providing insights from her experience. The three sights we visited were fantastic and all very beautiful. I fully enjoyed it!

Begonia was a wonderful guide. She shared a lot of knowledge and her love for the beautiful region of san sebastian.
