    1. Reykjavik: Lava Cave, Hot Springs, and Waterfalls Tour

After being picked up from your accommodation, you will be swept off to the west to the historic area of Borgarfjörður, a region that can be regarded as the setting for most of the Icelandic sagas. First, visit the Grabrok Volcanic Craters. Just a few meters away from the famous Ring Road there are three craters, Stora (Big) Grabrok, Grabrokarfell, and Litla (Small) Grabrok. These formed approximately 3,400 years ago during massive eruption shaping the landscape around. Solid wooden stairs lead up to the top of Stora Grabrok from where you can admire other colorful craters, lava fields, and lake Hreðavatn. Afterward, you will see the great Hraunfossar, a series of waterfalls spread at a distance of around 900 meters. The waters flow out of the Hallmundarhraun, a lava field that was formed around 1,000 years ago during a massive eruption of a volcano lying under a Langjökull glacier. Riv...

The lava tunnel was awe inspiring, with ice forming stalagmites from the overhead drip. The lava formations within the tunnel, were amazing and the guide was extremely informative about the geology of the formation of the tunnel. The waterfalls were breathtaking, with the glacier runoff providing a blue hue to the falls, contrasting the rest of the river they flowed into.

A wonderful summer day; sunny and temperature between 18 - 20°C. I was the only tourist on the tour that day and had the guide/driver to myself the whole day. The guide was so knowledgeable, interesting, very service minded and had a great sense of humour. The view from the volcano crater and waterfalls was amazing. The visit to the lava cave was interesting and the hot springs in the spa was very relaxing. Because I was the only passenger on the bus, I also got to visit the Museum of Snorre Sturlason and had some extra photo stops. A fantastic tour!

The driver was very friendly and funny, he also looked after our well-being very well and gave us a lot of information. It was our first time in a cave and we loved the lava cave and had a nice guide there too. (Unfortunately I can never remember names) and the spa at the end was also very nice with a view. All in all, I would recommend everyone to have this experience and experience these beautiful moments for themselves. We thank for the very nice driver / guide and also our Lavacave guide!

Beautiful views, a volcano and vegetation in its vicinity, a beautiful fjord through which we passed and waterfalls. The guide charmed us with the beautiful weather and the sun actually appeared. Lava cave is an unusual adventure, you have to wear warm temperature close to zero degrees. End of the day in a nice new spa, great relaxation and rest and lots of new impressions
