Full description

Enjoy pickup from your hotel, and a comfortable ride, where your expert guide will share fascinating stories about the city’s one-of-a-kind architecture, culture, and history.

The tour will begin next to the Mediterranean Sea, home to the golden sand beach of Bogatell, before following the coastline towards Port Vell (the Old Port).

There your guide will show you the Gothic Drassanes and the iconic Columbus Monument located at Barcelona's most famous street, La Rambla.

From there, the guide will take you up Montjuïc Mountain to Mirador de l'Alcalde, a beautiful terrace with wonderful views of Barcelona’s iconic skyline. The Mountain of Montjuïc was once the main venue of the 1992 Olympics.

Nowadays, you can still admire the Olympic Stadium. You can also find plenty of examples of urbanism and architecture designed for the International Exhibition of 1929. These include Plaça Espanya, The Magic Fountain, the Mies Van der Rohe Pavilion, and The National Palace. The tour will continue down the mountain to the Old Town. There you will leave the vehicle for a while as the narrow streets of the charming Gothic Quarter must be explored on foot.

Your guide will take you to the hidden corners of this neighborhood while unveiling the Roman and Medieval history of its streets. After discovering the Old Town your guide will take you to the neighborhood that was made to expand the city beyond its walls, l’Eixample.

This district was designed in the 19th-century by the urban planner Ildefons Cerdà. Its grid pattern and wide avenues offer a stark contrast to the more chaotic Old Town.

The visit of l'Eixample will start at Plaça Catalunya, Barcelona’s central plaza. The square connects to the boulevard Passeig de Grácia, which features some of the best examples of Modernist architecture.

Take a moment to admire the striking façades of private Modernist buildings including Gaudí's famous La Pedrera and Gaudí’s Casa Batlló and the Casa Lleó Morera and Casa Ametller. Your guide will take you to the crown jewel of Barcelona, Gaudí's masterpiece of La Sagrada Familia. After an extensive explanation of the hidden religious symbolism in the façades of La Sagrada Familia, enter the building.

You are sure to be captivated by Gaudi’s incredible architectural style, the peculiar shape of the columns, ceilings, and walls, and the organic architecture of the basilica.

Finally, your guide will take you all the way to Park Güell. This magical park is located on the top of a hill that provides spectacular views of Barcelona. In the park’s famous gardens,

Gaudí combined his unique architectural style with elements of nature. The result is a place of pure fantasy guaranteed to amaze you.

This tour was really great and included all the major stops around the city. Our tour guide Ursula was extremely knowledgeable and even showed us places you would never think of. It was great listening to the history and seeing so many of the locations near and dear to Gaudi. Our driver Juan was great as well and did a great job trying to minimize our walking by meeting us in places the bus could get through. We actually had a group of 16 but got to ride in a very comfortable, luxury bus that could easily fit more than 50 people. This tour is a must if you only have a short time in Barcelona but want to see all the sights.

This was one of my favorite tours ever. Almost 9 hours of seeing things, and having such a better understanding about the city and the works of Gaudi. Gaspar picked us up at our hotel and stayed in touch with us the entire time before arriving. He made conversation easy and interesting. I highly recommend this tour. His vehicle was comfortable, and the size of the group that we had was five, which was perfect.

when booking this tour. We paid for a 10 hour tour, but the guide told us it was to be only 8 hours. Luckily we had the paper to show that the tour was in fact 10 hours. The tour guide was upset with us and the transportation we were on left us after 8 hours. The company had the tour guide stay with us, but she was not happy and basically told us to get something to eat and she would come back to us. I don't blame her, she was only scheduled for 8 hours through the company. I blame the tour company. If we hadn't fought for the extra 2 hours and if we didn't have the paper work, we would have been out of luck.
