Full description
Enjoy a private guided tour of one of the most popular museums in Barcelona. After admiring the work of Picasso and learning about his connection to Barcelona, your guide will take you on a walking tour of the historic El Born district.
Your 4-hour tour begins with a visit to the Picasso Museum, where you’ll hear about the formative years of Pablo Picasso. The ingenuity of the young artist is revealed through the 4,251 works that make up the permanent collection.
Opened in 1963, the Picasso Museum also reveals his relationship with Barcelona: a close and inseparable link that was forged in his adolescence and youth, and endured until his death.
The museum's collection covers the formative years of the artist's life, and is practically complete until the Blue Period. The museum also houses an important representation of works from 1917, the Las Meninas series (1957), and a complete collection of prints.
After visiting the Museum, your guide will take you on a 2-hour private walking tour in the El Born district of Barcelona. Admire landmarks such as the famous Basilique of Santa Maria del Mar, the lovely streets of the district, and depending on your preferred itinerary, perhaps the Cathedral of Barcelona and the Roman wall and ruins.
