Full description

Visit the garden complex of Park Guell on Carmel Hill on a walking tour with an expert guide and skip-the-line tickets for priority entrance. Learn about one of Antoni Gaud's most enduring works and take a stroll through the art of a century.

Begin your journey to Carmel Hill to see the public park designed by Gaudi over a century ago. Spot Gaudi's distinctive style in the colorful mosaic tiles of the lizard statue ("El Drac") at the entrance.

Trace the park's beginnings back to 1900 when Barcelona was transforming into a global metropolis. Hear about engineer Ildefons Cerdà, who examined the difficulties faced by a rising city and handled the demands of Barcelona as it grew rapidly in the second part of the 20th century.

Allow your guide to demonstrate how the park's principal architectural features are inspired by Art Nouveau. Learn how historical construction techniques influenced the Modernisme movement in Barcelona as you marvel at the park's sculptures and designs. End your tour on a high note by walking through the park and up the hill to get treated to awe-inspiring views of the city of Barcelona below from the Nature Square.

Aleix our guide was brilliant, he took his time with the group, answered all the many questions we had, was very knowledgeable and seemed genuinely passionate about the Parc Guell. It was a very hot day and he made sure we had plenty of rest and shade breaks whilst getting us round the Parc. The only negative we found was the directions Google Maps gave us to get to the meeting point on foot from La Rambla were wrong and we ended up rushing to get there on time (no fault on the tour people, they were very helpful via WhatsApp) I definitely feel we got more out of the experience at Parc Guell by booking the tour with someone as interested as Aleix ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It is a wonderful park, whether you like art or not, if you want a detailed visit, the guided tour is a good option, although sometimes it is better at the pace that each person wishes, however the esperp guide was very patient. The tour was in English and was very well run. an hour long experience. It is advisable to bring an umbrella or hats for the sun, because most of the route is outdoors and with good sun it can be exhausting.

Tour was very entertaining and adorned with interesting information. I found it a bit unfortunate that we didn't stand that long on the stairs at the end of the 'paid area', so fewer pictures were possible. But that was perhaps also the case because there were a lot of groups there and it was therefore relatively crowded on the stairs. All in all, recommendable and easy to understand. Tour guide very nice and had interesting background information ready. I would not recommend the park without a guide.
