Full description
Enjoy an evening of entertainment in Barcelona with a traditional flamenco show in the Tablao de Carmen. Created as a tribute to the great dancer Carmen Amaya, the Tablao de Carmen has been staging its pure flamenco show since 1988. Located in the Poble Espanyol de Montjuïc, a magnificent open-air museum, you can enjoy the history and traditions of Spanish flamenco and admire the stunning architecture of the building. The Tablao de Carmen has a proud reputation based on the consistency and quality of its shows, as well as for maintaining the purest tradition over fashions, prejudices, or other commercial interests. Maintaining tradition, however, has never been synonymous with stagnation for the Tablao de Carmen. The shows have always boasted prestigious artists in the world of flamenco combined with promising youngsters, for whom the tablaos (places where flamenco shows are performed) have historically served as a school and artistic springboard. This results in constantly updated shows. The show performed in the Tablao de Carmen is typical of any tablao show – it has no formal choreography or synchronized organization. Some of the most important and representative flamenco styles are incorporated within the show, so you can appreciate the richness and variety of this art that combines music, dancing, and singing.

Really nice Flamenco show, and the food that was included in the price was very good too, Tapas and drinks. The dancers and singers were very good, and was all done with a genuine smile on the performers faces. Nice experience. The Poble Espanyol in general did not offer too much, but the venue was nice.

    Great Flamenco show

We really enjoyed the fiery passion and fantastic energy delivered by the dancers, singers and guitarists. The place is small so, where ever you are seated, you get a fantastic view of the stage. The show lasts one hour and has a lot of dancing. My kids, 21 and 18, absolutely loved it too. This place definitely show genuine Flamenco.

Marvellous... Should be a part of the Barcelona tour...

The show was great. We are very happy with the choice... One thing was, please correct your timing. The show was told to start at 18.15 and we were told to arrive 45 min.s in advance. In the end, the doors were opened at 18.15 (we were waiting since 17.30) and the show started at 19.00 (after the food was served). The perfectness of the show made up for our 45 min.s loss, anyway...
