It was very practical that you always had a ticket to hand immediately and did not have to look helplessly at the machine. There are also no waiting times. But you have to be very knowledgeable in order to use all means of transport sensibly and thus take full advantage of the Barcelona Card. If you visit the exhibitions with a bit of leisure, you can't "celebrate" the card.

Very good map to explore Barcelona. Important museums are included in the card, unfortunately the Gaudi buildings are not. Good to know: you can redeem the voucher at the tourist information office at the airport (unfortunately it is not available anywhere) and insert the multi-day ticket for public transport into the validator every time you travel by bus (also good to know because you would otherwise be counted as a fare dodger).

All transportation cards expired half way which seems like a frequent "bug" among buyers, as metro station employees who issued substitutes told us. Other than that, the most popular place of imterest (Sagrada Familia) should be included, even as a small discount if free is not possible. Visitors should be informed explicitly that not all transportations are included (eg. night bus lines N*).
