Planning Your Visit

  • Is it worth it?

Although the Barcelona Card offers discounts on a variety of attractions, the free admissions it offers are mostly limited to museums. If you plan on immersing yourself in art and history, then it could save you loads. If not, check out its discounts on everything from tours to tastings to flamenco shows, and do the math. It works as a travelcard across all public transport networks too, but the Hola BCN card might be more suitable for your visit.

  • What is a Hola BCN card?

If you're planning on seeing a lot of Barcelona but staying off the beaten track, then consider buying a Hola BCN card instead. For a one-off fee, you'll receive unlimited travel across all metro lines, buses, trams, and suburban trains, without paying for attractions you don't plan to visit!

It was very comfortable and easy to use 120-hour city card during our stay in Barcelona. We didn't need to check how many tickets we used or how many tickets left for the next trip, because the machine prints the exp. date on the back of your card at the moment of the first validation on metro/bus. We could also use the Montjuïc funicular without extra fees. I totally recommend to buy one of the city cards before you travel to BCN. It is good to know that if you forget to buy it earlier, you can buy them from ticket ATMs at metro stations.

If you want to visit a lot, it is 100% worth it. I travelled with my mom, and if we were to buy all the things we had used from this Pass, we would ve spent 100€ more than this cost

The card was an excellent resource while in Barcelona!!! The metro is fairly easy to navigate and it was nice to also have admission of various museums included. Money well spent.

This card let us travel all over Barcelona. We stayed out of the city center to save money and were able to easily reach any part of town with no problem.

Very useful, recommend definitely especially with the free transportation (including airport tickets)& museum and food discounts!!
