It was fair. If we didn't have to spend so much time checking in and going through passport control and baggage check we might have spent our full 3 hours enjoying the transit lounge. Instead we only had a very rushed 35 minute experience. This is a blight not so much on the transit lounge but Bangkok airport.

Once I could find it and was able to get in, it was great! The problem was that you have to have checked your bags, gotten your boarding pass and gone through security in order to access the lounge. I arrived in BKK at midnight and the check-in counter for my next flight was closed and didn't open until around 2:30 am or so. My plan was to use the lounge during the layover until my 5:00 am flight but that didn't work. I ended up sleeping across three benches in the check-in area while waiting for the counter to open and by the time the check-in was done I only got to use the lounge for about an hour.

Good value for money. Good drink selection. food more than passable, as long as you remember this is not a business class lounge and pay facility it is great for around 30 euros. Especially given food and drink prices in the airport, showers in the lounge on concourse D an added bonus.
