Bangkok: 4-Hour Night Bike Tour with Wat Arun & Wat Pho

1. Bangkok: 4-Hour Night Bike Tour with Wat Arun & Wat Pho

Get off the beaten track and explore Bangkok on 2 wheels on this 4-hour night bike tour. Departing after sunset, you will ride down quiet back roads and small lanes to visit 2 ancient temples. Discover how beautiful the historic center of Bangkok is at night, when its many temples are spectacularly illuminated, the temperatures are cooler and the places you visit are much quieter. After meeting your guide at the local partner's shop, you will get a quick briefing and bike fitting, with all necessary equipment provided. Wind your way down small lanes, past ancient temples and canals, to experience the heart and soul of Bangkok. You will pass Tammasat University and catch a local ferry across the Chao Phraya River to ride along the quiet back roads that lead to Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn). Enjoy the quiet ambiance of the temple before riding along a riverside track, passing more temples and churches. Cross back over the Choa Phraya River by bridge and stop at the famous flower market, which is at its busiest at night. Sample some of the local delights from the many street stalls and soak up the vivid colors of the flowers. Continue to Wat Pho, and view the 4 burial stupas of the first 4 kings of the Bangkok kingdom. You will then cycle back to the start point, past the Grand Palace and Sanam Luang, which comes to life in the evening with a daily market all laid out on simple mats.

Colors Of Bangkok: 4-Hour Small Group Bike Tour

2. Colors Of Bangkok: 4-Hour Small Group Bike Tour

Experience Bangkok more like a local on a half-day bike tour of some of the Thai capital’s small communities. Cycle down narrow, traffic-free streets to see how the locals live their daily lives. Following a quick bike fitting at the meeting point, cycle past villas and luxury apartments en route to a hidden community in what some might regard as a “slum,” but locals call “home.” Meet some of the city’s poorest residents, walking to their kindergarten to see where their children are taught. Next, go to a neighborhood sweatshop en route to boarding a typical long tail boat to cross the Chao Phraya River. Once across the river, explore Bangkok’s greenest area. Ride the elevated pathways that run through lush vegetation and the shade of coconut palms and banana trees. Stop at a local restaurant for a light meal of pad thai (thai noodles) or khao pad (fried rice). Then, visit a secret Buddhist temple and learn more about the Buddhist faith. Return to the pier to re-cross the Chao Praya River back into the bustling heart of Bangkok. End with a visit to a small, open-air Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) school, and learn more about the origins of Thailand’s national sport and martial art form.

Was just amazing, Tammy was a great guide, equipment provided was top quality, comfortable bikes and Tammy had our safety in mind. Those who have been on bike tours before may have felt their hands or bottom was sore afterwards, however these bikes have a very comfortable seat, very soft suspension, bikes were incredibly light hybrids and the handle bars had a soft grip; the perfect equipment for the duration we were riding. I really enjoyed the experience seeing the temples and the flower market and we got to try different street foods whilst on the trip provided by the tour guide. You get to experience the temples at night where there were literally no crowds and because it was at night the temperature was much more comfortable. Would highly recommend. The tight narrow streets and some areas required mounting up pavements and balancing around tight twisty corners, so would definitely recommend those with less riding experience to get some practice, overall worthwhile.

It was awesome! My girlfriend and I booked the excursion and then had a private tour as we were the only ones! We got there by taxi for about 100 baht (13km). Our guide (Ohm) was super friendly, helpful, patient and told us a lot about Bangkok and Thailand! With the bike through small winding streets, with the longtail boat over the river to the neighboring island (awesome!) And learn a lot about the country, nature, the old temples there and the history of Thailand. There were enough free drinks and lunch (vegetarian) was delicious. In the beginning it rained ... in my opinion it only made the tour even better! After we had explored the 16km2 island (approx. 4 hours), we drove back. Definitely an experience that you should have done! We would definitely go with the guide again, but then take another tour to experience even more!

Better than any bus tour. We saw interesting places that you would not normally see and Guide Seen told us a lot of interesting things about Bangkok and Thai culture. I can't understand that we were only two, but made the tour even more personal. Can only be recommended!

Very good Guide (Tammy): took very much time for us showing a lot of good things and very friendly and helpful :) highly recommended! Good tour, nice spots and very good staff!
