Full description
Experience Bangkok more like a local on a half-day bike tour of some of the Thai capital’s small communities. Cycle down narrow, traffic-free streets to see how the locals live their daily lives. Following a quick bike fitting at the meeting point, cycle past villas and luxury apartments en route to a hidden community in what some might regard as a “slum,” but locals call “home.” Meet some of the city’s poorest residents, walking to their kindergarten to see where their children are taught. Next, go to a neighborhood sweatshop en route to boarding a typical long tail boat to cross the Chao Phraya River. Once across the river, explore Bangkok’s greenest area. Ride the elevated pathways that run through lush vegetation and the shade of coconut palms and banana trees. Stop at a local restaurant for a light meal of pad thai (thai noodles) or khao pad (fried rice). Then, visit a secret Buddhist temple and learn more about the Buddhist faith. Return to the pier to re-cross the Chao Praya River back into the bustling heart of Bangkok. End with a visit to a small, open-air Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) school, and learn more about the origins of Thailand’s national sport and martial art form.

Because it is a small group, you share your experience very quickly. And I must say that it is a good way to see Bangkok from a different perspective, namely by bicycle. The contact with the local people is very easy. The people are friendly and welcoming. We were even invited to celebrate their Saturday family gathering. A good guide is goldworthy who, with a lot of patience, passes on the information and shows us what there is to see. In short, a must do you want something different.

Super relaxing, everything is well organized- you just just need to enjoy the ride and the beautiful colours of Bangkok. Guide was very knowledgeable and polite. Plenty of water throughout the tour for free and many things to see I've never seen in my +25 years I'm visiting Bangkok. I will book it again.

Great tour! If you feel less than confident about riding down narrow, raises paths (concrete path several feet above the water), you might be a little nervous at times. Most of these paths had railings on one side. The visit to the Muay Thai camp was a lot of fun. Definitely recommend! The bikes are cruisers so good, padded seats for a long bike ride. The path is not strenuous.
