    See the real Bali on this cultural and spiritual journey. Start with a hotel pick-up in the morning and then a drive up to Tampaksiring Village. Your first stop will be a charity visit to a village school. Afterwards, visit a local organic farm to learn about Bali coffees and spices. See the Pegulingan Temple with its archaeological Buddhist and Hinduism temples and learn about the purifying blessing bath at Tirta Empul Temple. The walk will then continue to the centuries-old Temple of Gunung Kawi, throughout native villages and the unexploited rainforest valley. Several breaks will be made during the walk and fresh coconut will be served for refreshment. Visit the locals in their compound and learn about the unique community living system of the Balinese people. The walk will end with a beautiful view of the hectares of rice fields as you learn about Bali’s old irrigation system of Subak Pulagan. Finish your morning off with a delicious meal in a local restaurant surrounded by rice paddies in the village of Laplapan.

    I had a driver and a tour guide. The tour was actually very interesting. At the beginning you have a late breakfast at a coffee plantation where you can try all kinds of coffee and tea and then of course you should buy something at the end. At the end there is also a lunch with a beautiful view. All in all it was really good.

    Brilliant, informative, personal tour, experiencing more of real Bali!

    Wayan did a fantastic job answering our thousand (or more!) questions about everything we saw and experienced, always with a typical beautiful Balinese smile on his face. The walking tour is highly recommended, we were never rushed and had plenty to observe and experience on the way. According to my iPhone we walked about 5km and 22 floors, so that gives you some idea. A lot of those floors were achieved at Gunungkawi, which has a lot of steps, but is well worth it. Yes, there are the proverbial street ‘merchants’ trying to make a living, so easiest to not make eye contact and say ‘no thank you’, with a big smile :) and you’ll be right! One of the highlights was definitely having tea in a family compound and listening to their 85yo priest consult his 300yo calendar to determine what the day was good/not so good for, All in all, an informative, entertaining tour with a bit of exercise thrown in !

    It is excellent, I play a rainy day and I had an excellent guide, super friendly helpful and very attentive despite the weather we did the whole tour and it was one of the best Tours, thanks to the guide kadul edit. He explained all the history and the ansestral culture. Super recommended
