Full description
Following morning pick-up from your hotel in Marrakech, experience one of the best adventures within easy access of the city and journey to the Ourika Valley in the Atlas Mountains. Climb aboard an air-conditioned minivan and travel in a small group with an English-speaking guide for approximately 1 hour. Marvel at the snow-capped peaks of the mountains as you approach the Ourika Valley, famous for its waterfalls and photogenic landscapes. Benefit from plenty of stops to take pictures of the stunning scenery throughout the morning. Upon arrival, join an expert mountain guide and embark on an optional 100-minute hike around the area and to its refreshing waterfalls. Alternatively, relax at one of the riverside cafés with a drink while you wait for the rest of the group to complete their trek. Then, visit an argan oil factory run by local Berber women to learn more about how the unique oil of Morocco is produced. Enjoy a full traditional breakfast of mint tea, argan oil, olive oil, honey, amlou (nut spread similar to peanut butter) and freshly baked bread prepared by the women right before your eyes. Journey back to Marrakech for an approximate 13:00 arrival, and get dropped off at your original departure point.

Really great half day trip, you get to see many different things and then still have most of the afternoon free to relax or do other activities. Marwan was a brilliant driver and guide. Our hotel pickup was outside what I would have assumed would be central Marrakesh (15 min drive) but it was totally fine for the collection and drop off. Highly recommended!

Abdul was an excellent guide, who entertained us with the history and culture of Morocco. The hike wasn’t too challenging, but it isn’t a breeze either. But getting to see the mountains of Morocco is completely worth it. And the breakfast was lovely. The bread was delicious and paired wonderfully with the honey

This trip was all we were looking for and more. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly, the vehicle first class. The trip up the valley was beautiful with several photo stops. We enjoyed the argon oil factory and the Berber breakfast was delicious. Finally, the hike to the waterfalls was apparently challenging but worthwhile while for those of us who stayed behind the drinks in the riverside cafe were lovely.
