Full description
Discover relics from Ancient Greece at the peak of its creative influence in the 5th century BC, and complete your visit to the iconic Acropolis with a guided tour of the Acropolis Museum. Designed by the architects Bernard Tschumi and Michael Photiadis, the museum is a treasure chest of artifacts formerly held in other museums, in storage, or returned from foreign collections. Marvel at the 1st floor Archaic Gallery as it is bathed in natural light. See excavations made visible through stunning glass floors. A licensed local guide will show you highlights from the museum's collection of more than 4,000 artifacts, which include votive offerings to Athena, statues of the Caryatids, and a glass atrium built-in alignment with the Parthenon. Get a sense of what the city looked like in days gone by with 3D exhibits and a plexiglass floor that reveals the ruins of an ancient Athenian neighborhood.

Nice guide, Charoula, she was lovely. The only critic I would make is that they give you these headphone sets to hear the guide better. In my opinion I dont think they are very good... at least for the museum. I did not feel the need to use them at all.

Natasha was our guide. She was informative, spoke great English and made learning about Greek history fun. She made our visit worthwhile and way more enjoyable then for us to do on our own. She not only knew her history but she answered our questions and helped us to appreciate our time even more. We are typically not museum people, so I was pleasantly surprised as to how much we learned and enjoyed this experience with Natasha.

I really enjoyed this tour and the tour guide. It was the last part of a larger tour that the other guests had been part of. I wish that I had been a part of that full day tour which visited the Acropolis itself and other parts of the city, as I really like the tour guide.
