Full description
Your tour begins on the 7:20 AM train from Athens to Kalambaka. Enjoy views of the beautiful Greek countryside from the window, until you arrive in Kalambaka around 11:30 PM. Your English-speaking driver will be waiting for you with a sign, and you will be transferred to your hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring this picturesque small town. Some options include the Natural History Museum of Meteora. Next morning, your guide will meet you in the lobby to visit the three main monasteries of the region, where you will discover the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the area. Learn the stories of the first hermits and monks here, who back in the medieval era laid the foundations of what would become a thriving monastic community. After the morning tour, you will be transferred back to Kalambaka. You will have time to grab some lunch before the 5:15 PM train back to Athens, arriving at 9:25 PM.

It was good!

There is not much to do in town after arrival so we had to take a Sunset tour which was great. Lots of good information and time to visit the monasteries.

August 29, 2019

It was not at all what we expected for the price.

Apart from the guided tour of the 3 monasteries which was relatively good, we do not understand why it is so expensive for barely 4 hours of explanation and one night at a 3 star hotel with very poor service and food. No guide from get your guide explained to us what there was to see in the city, I do not recommend the activity at all, it's theft.
