Full description

Your guide will have plenty to tell you about the history and the legends of all the gods and heroes, such as the almighty Zeus, Athena, Goddess of Wisdom, Poseidon, God of the Sea, Dionysus, God of Wine and Theater, and many more.

Through timeless myths you will explore the Theater of Dionysus, drama's first home; the resplendent Propylaea; the sacred Erechtheion; the Temple of Athena Nike and, of course, the magnificent Parthenon, perhaps the world's most iconic building. All this will come alive in a way that keeps everyone's attention and interest, kids and parents alike.

After you've discovered the secrets of the city's formidable hill, you'll take a short walk to reach ancient Pnyx, the birthplace of democracy, where all Athenians gathered to discuss all sorts of politics. There, you'll hear more mythical stories about Theseus and the Minotaur, Zeus' jealous wife, Hera and Aphrodite, the Goddess of love and beauty.

This is where your guide will lead you in a group family activity that's based on the gods and heroes you've been hearing about, allowing your kids (and you!) to interact imaginatively with your very special surroundings. In the end, not only will you understand what made this city and its Gods immortal and legendary, but you'll also get to take back home a piece of history you'll create together as a family.

The tour was great for the most part. Our guide Vicki was wonderful/very knowledgeable. My 8 year old enjoyed the ruins, mythology & activity but walking up and down hills in the sun w/crowds was a lot. We had a much needed pit stop for lemonade. The Ancient agora at the end was not necessary.

Family of 5 with kids age 7, 10+11 who are big percy Jackson + greek mythology fans. There are so many tours to choose from but a family focused one was amazing. Our guide Helena had kids games, pictures, maps etc to keep them interested on the entire tour. It is SO hot in athens and hard for kids to pay attention on a big tour. Absolutely would recommend. Its pricey but once in lifetime experience which we wanted to make the best for the kids. Thank you

think my daughter was a little young (6) but she still got excited about Greek mythology and still talks about the stories. The tour of the acropolis/Parthenon was great—I wasn’t as sure about the agora. In all honesty, the biggest struggle is that it’s just so hot (even up to 35 degrees in June) which can be particularly challenging for a young child.
