The exhibition on the 2nd floor of the museum provides a comprehensive overview of historical, artistic, and technological developments in the course of ancient Greek history. The exhibition on the 4th floor offers a vivid glance at everyday life in Classical Athens. The MCA collection of Ancient Cypriot Art (one of the largest outside Cyprus) comprises unique prehistoric figurines, Archaic and Classical sculptures, inscriptions, bronzes, coins, exquisite gold jewelry, impressive glasswork, and a wide array of ceramics ranging in date from the 4th millennium BC to Medieval times.
